This Finnigan LCQ Classic LC-MS/MS ion trap system features electrospray (ESI) and APCI ionization and multiple MS/MS capacity.

  
   
 

Basic fundamental operation of this instrument is the generation and migration of ions from the ESI or APCI assembly into the ion trap chamber.

Ions trapped in the ion trap chamber are then sequentially ejected and detected. A sample can be introduced into the ion source by either injection onto an LC column and subsequent separation into its various components, or by direct infusion which provided no chromatographic separation of components in the samples before the sample passes into the MS detector.

With a mass range of 50 to 2,000 amu, positive and negative polarity modes, and scan powers of n=1 to 10.

Single Stage MS
In the full-scan MS mode this LCQ provides a full mass spectrum of analytes introduced into the ion source.

MS/MS
In the full-scan MS/MS mode, information is provided on the molecular structure of one particular ion.

This instrument is in superb condition, having been completely serviced, cleaned and tuned at our lab in Kent (UK) and comes complete with:

- Electrospray Ionization (EI) Probe
- Xcalibur Data System (with PC+Screen)
- Edwards E2M28 Vacuum Pump
